ANNUAL SPORTS. A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. Held under favourable conditions at tho Christ's College grounds yesterday afternoon, t'oe annual athletic sports of Dunelin School demonstrated the keenness v.uh which boys nndertnke their spurts activities, and showed that the encouragement given to boys of u young a<je should be of considerable benefit to them when they continue their education at secondary senooiß. There were many parents and friends of tho school who wutchen the raceo, several of provided interesting and clono tiuislics. In pnst years Dnnelm bchool has provided a largo percentage of the best, athletes at Christ's College,_ and th.,tradition which the school is setting up in this ro.spi-ct appears likely to be continued, for of' the many hoys who competed in yestei-day's events, there were several who in later years should develop into nil round athletes. The Wiggins Challenge Cup, tor the hoy gaining most points, went to lfi. Cowper. wlio, by gaining places in praeticnlly all of the senior events, scored 19 pointß. P. Cowper, another promising competitor, was second, with 17 points. At the conclusion of the sports the prizes were presented by Mr Mathias, the oldest old boy of Christ's College.
