At Winnipeg, the ophthalmic sectiou of the Medical Conference has forwarded to the British Medical Association, London, the Australian definition of blindness, with the request for adoption or amendment, bo that universal standards may be adopted. . Another suggestion which Is being forwarded is that after accidents at sea, the vision of all those concerned should be examined. Sir James Barrett's lecture on busn nursing drew one of the largest audi--enees of the conference.
