Mr and Mrs Derrick Gould (Fendalion) returned yesterday from a holiday visit to South Canterbury. Mrs A. C. Nottingham and 'Miss Hilda Nottingham (Aronside) rteurned on Saturday from a visit to Sydney and Auckland. Mrs Shirley Wright and daughter (Murray place) left on Saturday to spend a week at Haniner Springs. Dr. and Mrs Cohen, who have been visiting South Canterbury, have returned to Wellington. Mrs L. M. Scott and Miss Marjorie Scott (Merivale) are spending a short holiday in Wellington. .Mr and Mrs E. J. Vavasour (Ferniehurst), and Mr and Mra A. Harcourt (AuckJsad) i?-ve staying at Warner's Hotel. Mr and Mrs E. S. Perks (Natal, South Africa), Mr and Mrs G. K. Parsons (Halifax, Canada), Mr and Mrs Lemon (Dunedin), _ Mrs B. F. Aldred, and Miss Vivienne Aldred (Wellington), are among those registered at the United Service Hotel. The engagement is announced and the marriage will shortly take place of Ina, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R. M. Robertson, Remuera, Auckland (late of Leeston, Canterbury) and Cyril Frederick, only son of the late Mr F. 11. Hamilton-Armstrong, of "Creeve," County Fermanagh, Ireland, and of Mra F. H. HamiltonArmstrong, at present of Remuera road, Auckland. Miss E. Carponter (Hanmer Springs), Miss H). M. Jenkins (Blenheim), Miss E. Gregory (Kaikoura), Mr and Mrs E. J. Jurt (Wellington), Miss Jurt (Wellington), and Mr M. "Ongley (Lower Hutt) are the latest arrivals at th© Hotel Federal.
