YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS.

There was a moderate turnover of stocks on 'Change yesterday with the bulk of the business on the afternoon call, and several stocks show an easing. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included: 5 Comm.. Bank of Sydney. 26 E., S., and A. Bank. 10 Union Bank of Australia. 500 Goldsbrough, Mort. 200 United Building Society. 50 New Zealand Breweries. 100 Tooths Brewery. ' 100 British Tobacco. 100 Electro Zinc (pref. cum. div.) 000 Mt. Lyell. 1450 Mahakipawa ColdiieJds. Buyers of New Zealand Government 4J per cent. Bonds, due 1938, advanced their offers to £IOO without attracting sellers. Commercial Bank of Sydney shares eased to £2O 2s 6d, and more were offered at £2O, buyers at £l9. English, Scottish, and Australian Bank shares were a shade easier at £5 16s 6d. Sellers of National Bank of Australasia shares reduced their limits to £l4, buyers at £l3 17s 6d. Bank of New South Wales shares were weaker with sellers at £36 2s 6d, buyers at £35 17s 6d. Union Bank of Australia shares were released at £lO 12s 6d, and there were further buyers at that figure, sellers at £lO 13s. .

Sellers of Dalgety and Company shares reduced their limits to £9 17s 6d, buyers at £9 15s. Goldsbrough, Morts also weakened from 27s 6d to dealings at 26s 9d and 26s lOd, market closing 20s 9d sellers, 26s 8d buyers. United Building Society shares were firm at 15s 9d and there were further buyers at that price, sellers at 16s New Zealand Breweries shares remained at 51s, market closing 51s buyers, 51s 2d sellers. There was a closer market for Staples Brewery shares, which were quoted 43s Cd buyers, 45s sellers. Tooths Brewery shares relapsed to 28s 6d and more were offered at 28s 9d, buyers at 28s. British Tobaccos declined to 36s lid, closing quotations id on either side. Electrolytic Zinc preference shares cum dividend dropped to 21s 6d, an<] there were further sellers at 21s Id, buyers at 20s 9d. Mt. Lvells -had dealings at 22s 3d and 22s ltd, market closing 22s 2d buyers, 22s 4d sellers. Mahakipawa Goldfields shares were firmer with dealings at 3d. buyers staying in at that price, sellers at 31d. Waihi Gold Mining shares were stronger on buyers' offers 14s 3d, sellers at 15s.
