Several members pointed out that Otago had already had a tlieid match against Canterbury. Mr Throp moved that, in the opinion of the New Zealand Asaociation, the challenge WM not acceptable, on account of the limited tioe available, but in the event of Poverty Bay not fulfilling their challenge the date weald be allotted to Otago. The secretary m instructed to wire to Poverty Bay asking tut an immediate reply as to their acceptance of the match on August 30th, and stating that afcould do reply be received within three dsya their challenge would be forfeited. BLLESMERE ASSOCIATION. The concluding matches in the EllesmereWomen's Hock'y Association's competitiwu were played on Saturday, the Leeston aad Bouthbridge first grade teams tying with aa equal number of championship points.
