KAIKOURA. A meeting of the committee of tho Kaikoura A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon, Mr lilt. Laidlaw (president) presiding Also present were:—Messrs A. (treasurer) J. C. Borth'vicß, 8. i. Harrm, J. Schroder, F. Lawson, C. Ckmett, Guj Boyd, inn., W. Mundell W. Dalzell, J. Griffiths, J. Leitch, W. Lee, T. Adair, and W. F. Perrin (secreiary)Votes of sympathy _ were P the relatives of Mrs J. D. Boyd, Messrs A. Glenn, and J. J. Garrett. The Marlborough A. and P. Associa tlon advised that its annual show would be held on October 3lst and November Ist. • oV Messrs L. Horner and Ross Murray were elected members, of the AssociOr The following were added to the General Committee Messrs R. Murray, E. H. Workman, and N. Farrant. The president extended a welconie to Mr J Griffiths (Stock Inspector). It was decided to invite the Meat Board to display carcases of lamb ana mutton at the show. _ The president moved that the l»partment be written to regarding loans for farm improvements, and asiung fhat support be given for subsidies ror form labour . The question of holding the annual show s week earliej or later than tne date of St. Patrick's sports meeting was discussed, and it was decided to confer first with St. Patrick s Sports Association. , . The rules and regulations of the Association were then discussed, ana several alterations made. It was aecided to have draft rules printed ana submitted at the annual meeting. The president was empowered to 'spend 11 t) to £6 to treet emergencies. It was decided that the General Committee" should deal with the stock "lasses at next meeting. Messrs W. Moir. F. H. Flower, and \ Gooch were appointed a Finance Committee. The president asked members to consider the matter of wool classes For boys, plots of potatoes and turnips for boys distemper in does, and otner matters, and to discuss them ®t the nevt meeting. The secretary suggested that ft veterinary surgeon visit the district in *he early part of the dairy season and give information regarding mammitis and dairy herd troubles.
