After no Signs of activity for a yeat, the Bias Bay pirates, led by a woman aged twenty-one, and speaking English, attacked the Japanese steamer, Deli Maru, between Amoy and Hong Kong. ThM« Indian guardß were wounded when the pirates shot without warning. The o/Boers wore overpowered without showing resistance. The only booty was £2OOO in money and jeWeliery, taken from passengers. This ig the first Japanese ship ever attacked by the Bias Bay gang.
