At 7.15 a.m. yesterday the Fire Brigade MetiTCd a malicious false from a street box at Papanui, and at noon they received a call by telephone saying that a house in Leinster rosfl waaon fire. This proved to be a false nfiTT™ also. Shortly after 1 p.m. they ware ealled upon to suppress a grass fire at a section in Wordsworth street, Sydenhaw. Xn the evening several more ial** alarms were received.
