STUD SHEEP EXPORT.
PATAGONIA-URUGUAY-ARGEN-GENTINE-KENYA. One of the most •elect ihipments of Corriedale sheep to leave the Dominion's shores is being consigned this week to South America by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. The consignment ineludes the champion ram Dl 5, with which Mr H. T. Little, "Hui, Hui," his breeder, won first in the fourtooth class and the ram championship at the 1928 Canterbury Metropolitan A. and P. Show, and for which Mr H. H. Jamieson, of Patagonia, who was in New Zealand at that time, paid the record price of 350gns, Mr Little retaining the service rights for the present season. A shipment of Corriedales in addition to Eomneys and Southdowns from the North Island, was made to Patagonia on account of Mr Jamieson last year. Accompanying the champion ram st the present time is a consignment to Mr Jamieson consisting of two stud ram hoggets bred by Mr Hugh Ensor, Eakahuri, two stud ram hoggets bred by Mr J. A. Johnstone, Bushev Park, Otago, and a stud ram hogget bred by Mr Little. At the same time there is also being shipped to buyers in Uruguay, three stud one-shear rams bred by Mr Little, and six stud ram hoggets, together with an outstanding one-shtar stud ram bred by Mr Wm. White, of Woodgrove. Another valuable consignment is also being shipped bv the same firm this week to Argentine. This consignment comprises eight one-shear stud rams and nine stud ram hoggets, all bred Iby Mr Little. There is included in this j consignment a ram hogget which was I first at the Hawarden, Waiau, and Canterbury Bhows, and second at the Royal Show at Palmerston North. This consignment will be joined at Wellington ! with a selection of Bomney and LinI eoln sheep also consigned to the three j countries named. The Lineolns include I prize-winning rams at the Boyal, Waij rarapa, Hawke's Bay, Dannevirke, and Masterton Shows. | A shipment at an early date of CorI riedale sheep to Kenya Colony is being ! \nade. I The Southdown sheep mentioned above is the pioneer shipment of this breed from New Zealand to South America. The sheep were bred by Mr Q. Donald.
