SUMMER TIME FUND.
DECISION OF COMMITTEE. (PEZS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGBAK.; WELLINGTON, June 14. At a meeting of the Summer Time Appreciation Committee it was decided to hand over funds amounting to not less than £SOO to the New Zealand Institute. The funds were given mostly by shilling subscriptions by those who desired to express their appreciation ot the passing of the Summer Time Act. It is proposed to use the amount to provide a medal to be known as the 4 T. K. Sidey Summer Time Medal," to be presented at intervals of some years, together with a monetary prize for the best contribution to our knowledge of light in relation to human welfare. With regard to the re-enactment of the Summer Time measure it was decided to leave the whole matter in Mr Sldey's hands to act in any way he considers most desirable, having regard to the state of the new House on the question.
