This is the opinion' of Sir Henry Scott, K.C. t of Suva, and a member of the Executive and Legislative Councils of the Colony, who wis A passenger from Sydney by the Niagara.

Sir Henry said that in addition to the £8,000,000 loan recently raised bv the Colony a further loan ot £150,000 was contemplated . This, he thought, could be raised at a reasonable rate of interest within the Colony. t. "The-finances of Fiji are ill a splendid condition/' added Sir Henry. "So far as I know we have nothing , to worr* about."
