Tho Calm is expected froni Oamaru on Wednesday, and, after discharging and_ loading general cargo, will sail for Wellington and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Poolta is due from Wellington on Wednesday to discharge and load general cargo before sailing for Westport direct. The Storm is expected from Oamaru on Friday to load for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Kahika is due from Oamaru on June 11th, and, after discharging and loading general cargo, will sail for Wellington, Napier, and Oisborne, via Lyttelton. The Wingatui is scheduled to 'arrive from Oamaru on June 12th to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The Norfolk is due from Port Chalmers on June 16th to discharge«overseas cargo and load general cargo before sailing for Lyttelton. In the shallows of Lake Ullswater a roadman has found a gwiniad, locally known as tho skelly, or fresh-water herring, which was supposed to be extinct in Ullswater, as no specimen had been seen for more than ten years.
