The residents of the. Somerfleld School district are invited to attend a farewell social to Mr S. A. Clark, late headmaster, in the school on June 6th, at 8 p.m.' A jumble sale will be held in St. Saviour's Hall, Sydenham, on. Tuesday afternoon. Train arrangements in connexion with the trotting nicer, at AshbuT-ton on June 9th cie advertised in this issue. A jumble sale will be held in the Papanui Memorial Hall this afternoon. A public meeting, to be held under the auspices of the New Zealand Labour Party, will take place in the Rangiora Town Hall on Wednesday evening. Parents and guardians are asked to remember the Bible-in-schools meeting at the Caledonian Hall on Juno sth. His Grace Archbishop Julius and Sir James Allen will be the speakers, and his Lordship Bishop West-Watson will preside. The annual meeting of the Rangiosa branch of the Plunket Society will be held in the A. and P. Hall on Tuesday evening.
