Winsor presiding, over a fair attendance. • ■ The financial statement showed that the receipts'for the venr, including the balance brought forward; amount d to £166 12s 9d, while the expenditure totalled £79 9b fid, leaving a. credit balance of £B7 3s 4d. • Since the end of the financial year, payment of £43 has been paid to the head office as its proportion of the subscriptions receiv-> ed during the past year. The annual report, which has already been published, 'and the balance-sheet, were adopted. It was decided to make an application to the head office-for a grant of £25 towards the League's forestry pavilion at the Show Grounds. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr J. Deans; deputy chairman, Dr H. T D.. Aelana; last year's committee was re-elected: secretary and treasurer Mr R. Browning; auditor, Mr J. A. B. Cookson. In reply to a letter from the Peel Forest Board asking if the League desired to continue to be represented on the Board, it was decided to tljat the League considered that the forest was not in its sphere cf activity. It was decided that a sub-committee be set hd to confer with., the secretory of the New Zealand Forestry League and IVf-r C. H Reece.
