CYCLING.
NEW CLUB FORMED. A hieeti.if: of enthusiasts wa.3 held in the ClarkoviHe Hall for the uurpose of formir.s a cycling club. Mr G. Hassall presided. On the motion of Mr F. C. Vaughan, it was decided to form, a club to be known as the Clarkeville Cycling Club, and to affiliate with the North Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union. The following officers ,were apopinted:— Patron, Hon.. D. Buddo, M.P.; president, Mr G. Hassall; vice-presidents, Messrs E. Giles, R. O. Dixon, J. Smith, S. Frost, C. Jiulson, A. Rice, C. Vaughan, W. Kcetley, C. Baynon, W. Robson, A. ,Danick, V. Burgess. B. Henderson. R. Nicholls, V. T.'ilson, R. Holland. E. Giles, Geo. Brown,. H. Rich, ,W. J. Walter, P. C. Lucas; club captain, Mr L. Giles; deputycaptain. Mr L. Brocklebank; [secretary and treasurer, Mr F. C. Vaughan; Management Committee. Messrs N. Holland. 8. Tipping: n.. Giles. V. Giles,, S. Holland. R. Luisetti: delegate to Centre, Mr F C. Vaughan; handicappers, Messrs C Judson, L. Giles, and W. Robson; timekeepers and starters, Messrs W. J. Walter and P. C: Lucas. The annual nubscription was fixed at 5s for senior members and 3s for riders. under the age of eighteen years. It was decided to hold the opening road race on June 9th, over a ten miles course.
