MR LOWDEN'S EXPENSES.
(EXITED PBKBB ASSOCIATION—BY BLSCTMC TELEGRAPH—COPXBIQHT.^ WASHINGTON, May 14. Mr Lowden told the Senate Campaign Committee that his Chicago headquarters had collected 64,700 dollars, and spent 60,000 to May 21th. He declared that his personal books indicated that he himself had advanced 12,500 dollars, although the campaign manager's books showed 15,000. Lowden pounded the committee table at one period during the hearing, declaring that he had entered 1 the Presidential contest because he believed that the Republican Party should re-establish the alliance between agriculture and industry.—Australian Press Association.
