noon. Present: Mesdames Galletly (president), Greenwood, Ashton, O'Carroll, Smart, Webb, Hoskin, Kelliher, and Parker (secretary and treasurer). Nurse Lowe.was also present. A vote of thanks was passed to Mesdames Cook and McLeod for the successful way in which they chose the gifts for the Christmas tree. Tho balance-sheet showed that the Society profited to the extent of £B.. Mrs Montgomery, with two of her children, are spending a holiday at Akaroa. , Mr*' Twemlow, who has been staying with his sister, Mrs J. H. Parker, has accepted a position with the Marconi .'Company and leaves for England this evening. Mrs Joyce, sen., who has been visiting her son at Rotorua, has returned to her home. .... 4-small token of appreciation from his* Loburn and Okuku friends was handed to the Rev. Mr Ault on Friday afternoon by Mrs Croft on the eve of his departure for England, before taking up missionary work m India in October.
