Two important match races will bo featured at English Park Stadium to-morrow night, when a sports meeting will bo conducted, under the auspices of tho North Canterbury Centre of tho Now Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union. W. T. Weir, tho well-known successful track rider, will meet Alex. Ritchio, nnothe- successful performer, in a three-dis-tance motor-paced match race. Tho distances havu been extended, and_ are as follows: Three miles, seven miles, and flvo miles. Both riders aro clover exponents of tho art of motor pace following, and a close and exciting coutest is anticipated. • The sprint match race between J. R. I'Anson,-the ex-amateur, and C.
