ANGLICANS AND THE POPE.

A STARTLING RUMOUR. (BT CABLE—PBIS3 ASSOCIATION —COPYBIDHT.) (Australian and n.z. cable association.) OTTAWA, January 17. A special cable received in Toronto from London says that the text of a report of the conversations of some leaders of the Anglican Church with Eoman Catholic priests on the possibility of a reunion with the Church of Borne is to be published this week. Tlie conversations were held at Malines. It will cause' a profound sensation, and all possibility of the House of Commons passing the revised Prayer Book will vanish. The report will carry proof that English prelates, acting with the alleged approval of the Archbishop of Canterbury, agreed to the supremacy of the Pope among Christian Bishops.
