ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the General Committee o{ the St. John Ambulance Association was held in the Association's rooms last night, Lieut.Colonel F. B. Creswcll presiding. Present— Mosdames 11. H. Smith and S. A. Watkins, Mossrs W. T. Charlewood, J. 0. MacGillivrav, and C. J. Treleaven (secretary). A report on the state of the two ambulances stated they were in need of repair, and it was suggested that they should be repainted. It was decided the suggestion bo carried out subject to a satisfactory tendor being submitted. The matter of distinguishing thcambulancc alarms by installing a bell in lieu of the usual horn was discussed. It was stated that, by this method, the ambulances n-ould receive preference when negotiating traffic. It was left to the secretary to make enquiries and report to the next meeting.
