BALL AT BROADFIELD.
The bachelors and spinsters of Broadfield held-their annual ball in the schoolroom on Wednesday. There was a large attendance, and the school was tastefully' decorated with coloured streamers, etc. The committee, with Mr T. Smith as president, and Miss Bessie Carpenter and Mr Maurice Cunneen as joint secretaries, are to be congratulated on * the success of the function. The lucky-spot waltz was won by Mr H. Gallagher and Miss Pickering,, and the Monte Carlo waltz by Mr Bennett and Miss M. Greaves. The music was supplied by Mr L. Stace, while extras were played by Messrs Jordan and Campbell. Messrs T.
