SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs and Miss Giles have returned to Christehurch. . Mv Bannerman (The Bungalow) returns from Dunedin to-day, Mr and Mrs E. Holdgate (Park lane) are visiting Christehurch. Mr and Mrs J. W. Pair (Douglas street) have returned from the West Coast. Mrs H. W. Lomas (Sealey street) is visiting Christehurch. Mrs W. D. Campbell and the Misses Campbell returned from Peel Forest yesterday. Mrs W. H. Walton and family returned from Peel Forest yesterday. Mrs and Miss Nicholls (Oamaru), who have been staying at the Hydro Grand Hotel, returned home yesterday. Mr and Mrs C. H. Mackio (Christchurch) returned homo yesterday, after spending a few days at the Hydro Grand Hotel. Those staying at the Grosvenor Hotel include: Mrs C. Kinloch (Dunedin), Miss H. Easterfteld (Oamaru), Miss K. Arnold (Christehurch), Miss E. Hunt (Christehurch), Mr L. N. Scholfield (Christehurch), Mr P. C. Holway (Auckland), Mr P. Lincoln (Auckland), Mr C. H. A. Mann (London), Mr L. Prier (Wellington), Mr D. Hensleigh (Dunedin), and Mr.A. M. Bobertson. Recent arrivals at the Dominion Hotel include Miss M. Smith (Christehurch), Miss L. Forbes (Christehurch), Mr L. J. WiUiams (Christehurch), Mr E. E. Johns Mr J. C. Longdate (Auckland), and Mr T. E. Harkness (Dunedin). Among those staying at the Empire Hotel are: Mr and Mrs F. W. Woodward (Christehurch), Captain and Mrs Clark, Mrs Eadford (Christehurch), Mr H. G. Coburn (Christehurch), Mr G. M. Gunn (Christehurch), Mr W. Kobinson (Dunedin), and Mr L. Eobinson (Dunedin).
