Tho grave danger threatening several towns from bush fires was averted over the week-end mainly through a change of wind, but the position in many centres is still obscure, because of the interruption of communications. It is known that the damage has been enormous. Many districts are experiencing the worst fires in history. OUTBREAK IN HOBART. (austbauajt urn s.z. .cms associatioh.) HOBART, February 14. Bush fires around Hobart caused extensive darrnige. * A partv of bluejackets from a warship rushed to tho scene and assisted in fighting tho flames, which are now under control.
