BRIGADE WATCH HOUSE BURN. [THZ FBZBS SpecM Service.] AUCKLAND, February 14. Handicapped by the absence of water for fire-fighting purposes, the Takapuna Fire Brigade could do nothing to prevent the total destruction of a house in Pepil road, Milford. The house, which was unoccupied at the time, was owned by Mr B. E. Taylor, of Ponsonby road. The'previous occupant had returned to the city on Saturday. It is stated that the house was insured for £IOOO, and the contents for £l5O. With the exception of a small amount of fArniture, nothing was saved.
