It was decided to ask the Christchurch City Council to remove certain trees on uualey creek in North Avon road, as it was considered that they were a grave rtangei to motorists. , , . ~, The Minister for Education advised tnat his Department was prepared to pay »s proportion of the cost of erecting a flood-gate at Horseshoe Lake to prevent fl<x> dm g ot a large area of good land. It was decided to bring the matter before the Drainage Board and to forward a copy of the correspondence to Mr Vi. J. Walter. . 4 ,„ The secretary was instructed to write to Mr J. McCreanor and Mr J. Lamble, asking them to cut back the fences on their property, as they were encroaching on tne footpath.
