Many bags of good-sized tro.nt.wMe taken from the Bilwyn river during th* week-end. All the Canterbury filling rivers have provided good sport tola season, but tor the last .two or three week-ends up to Saturday last bag* bate not been so numerous. The weather affects the feeding of the*fish, and thia factor, added to the fact that the lake ■ is closed up, is responsible for the'do* crease in the number of fish takes.
