GUN CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. Tho twenty-sixth annual general meeting of the Christchurch Guh Club was held last night. Dr. W. H. Simpson presided over an attendance of 14 members. ANNUAL REPORT. The anr.unl report 6tated that, after writing off over £250 from the previous value oAho buildings, etc., the assets exceed the liabilities by £874 6s sd. All tho matches had been well attended, and particularly so the Christmas shoots, When there were 52 competitors. The marksmanship right through had been of a very high order. The club clay bird championship was won by T. Kimbcr, after shooting oh* a tie with c! Jamieson, T. S. Harrison, D. MacGregor, and A. N. Turner, who each broke the possible. The sparrow championship Was won by E. Hammond, with a score of 18 out of 17. In the club pigeon championship, E. Hammond and B. S. Taylor killed tho possible, and in the shoot-off E. Hammond was successful. The finals in the aggro* gate of the tlnee club championships were very close, there being only two points difference between the leading eight 'competitors. The leaders. R. S. Taylor and C. Jamieson, tied with a total of 45, and ill the ehoot-off tho former won. The club was entrusted with the running of the 192<1 New Zealand clay bird championßhip, and in that possibles were broken by E. tansdell, A. Dobson, L. Kerr, and J. Simpson. The ehoot-off was won by E. Lansdell. Tho club was represented in the Melbourne shoots by R. Arnst, .C. Jamieson, It. S, Taylor, and F. Truscolt, and they proved themselves worthy representatives. In September tho club conducted tho first South Island sparrow championship. The conditions were the same as for New Zealand championships, and the event was won by C. Jamieson, after shooting off a, lie with \V. Patterson and 11. S. Taylor. Mr D. F. Dennehy said it seemed that it would be only a, matter of time before the big shoots would be all held on two or lliwe of tho bice grounds in Now Zealand, as had brcome 1110 wactic* ill Australia.
