Messrs J. C. Youtfg" (Palmerston North) and R. J. Le Cren (Timaru) are at the Clarendon Hotel. Professor J. MacraiUan Brown, Chancellor of the University of Now Zealand, who has been pursuing his investigations in»the Pacific Islands,' returns to Christchurch to-day. Guests at Warner's Hotel include Messrs R. Pettit, E. L. Shears, It. Bathurst (Wellington), R. Anderson (Wairoa), J. G. Phillips (Dunedin), and J. A. Brown (Westport).
