The accident to the French fliers, mentioned yesterday, occurred at a spot in the Black Forest known as "The Valley of Hell." It .is believed the fall was due to sudden failure of the petrol supply. The machine nosedived and a wing caught in a tree. The 'plane overturned and plunged into a brook, swollen by recent rain r and was completely wrecked. Both airmen were buried in. the wreckage and when they were extricated with difficulty Thierry was already dead. [Two airmen, do Coste and Thierry, left the Etampes aerodrome in an attempt to make a non-stop flight to Karachi, via Constantinople, Bagdad, and Bunder Abbas. The encountered a thick fog over . the Black Forest, causing loss of direction. They attempted to land and crashed into a tree. Thierry was killed and de Coste was slightly injured.]
