TUBERCULAR COWS.

(press association telbgbak.) DUNEDIN, September 15. In reference to the Palmerston North message regarding tubercular cows, a Health Department officer stated that there was nothing to justify such an alarming statement. A long series of tests in Auckland had revealed tuberculosis in milk only in two or three oases. The favourable position of the Dominion was due to the fact that the cattle lived more in the open air than was; the case in other places, there being no necessity to stall-feed them. He added that there was very little tuberculosis in New Zealand due to the bovine type of bacillus.
