PICTURE HOUSES. GREATER CRYSTAL PALACE. Greater' Crystal Palace habitues'arc finding "All the Brothers Were Valiant," the current etar attraction, an excellent story cf comedy and tragedy. The author has built fp a gripping etory on the subject, of courage. An excellent cast interprets tho story, including such favourite actors as Lon Cnaney, Billie Love, and Malcolm McGregor. Laura, la Plant* is the star or the second big feature, "Young Ideas, -this is a- brilliant comedy, full of situations which arouse spontaneous laughter. The supporting programme includes the°newest Century comedy, the second chapter of latest International News. Aa usual, the Symphony Orchestra delights all with a. brilliant programme. LIBERTY THEATRE. Numerous opportunities for comedy acrobatics are afforded the popular comedian, Harold Llo-d, in the big feature, "Safely Last," now showing at the Liberty Theatre. ] The story deals'with a. pretence, put up by ] the hero, thai lie is the manager of a big j draper)' establishment. He comes in for some remarkably perilous climbs^—serious matters into which he infuses many startling comedy stunts. The big supposing film is "My Old Kentucky Home." The Liberty Quality Orchestra, under Mr Howard Moody, plays a. fine programme of overtures and incidental music. STRAND THEATRE. Herbert Rnwlinson has the : lead in "The. Victor," now. showing at the Strand Theatre. This popular artist makes tho most of his epportunities-i'and. they are many—in the role of the Hon. Cecil Fitzhugh Waring, who goes to America to establish a matrimonial alliance with the daughter of a rich American. His fistic ability was noticed by an ex-fight _ promoter, and Cecil became his protege,' finally winning the middle-weight crown and saving the family estate. Hoot Gibson, in "Out .of Luck," is tho second feature. "Daniel Boone" (final episode), "The Rookies" (Brownie comedy), and International ,ICews complete the ■ bill. QUEEN'S THEATRE. "Around tho ."World .in the Spoejacks," a travel film of romance, adventure, educational interest and comedy, is now showing at the Queen's Theatre.. The Speejacks proves to be ■ a commodious motor yacht, the round the world journey of which in 1921 caused such a. sensation in the shipping world. The vessel is a 98ft trimlooking craft, which, although frail in appearance, did the 40,000 miles journey circumnavigating the glebe in a manner which more- than proved her exceptional stability. In support is shown the United Artists' production, "The ..Girl I 'Love," starring Charles Ray. The Queen's Orchestra presents a fine musical :prbgramme in conjunction with, the picture. GRAND THEATRE. The comedian' ' with, the horn-rimmed spectacles, Harold Lloyd, is drawing large audiences to the Grand Theatre with his latest Tehicle, "Safety Last." The second big attraction is "Corductor 1492." Johnny Hints, of Torchy fame, is the spirit and essence of "Conductor ■ 1492." He. has with him ft choice . selection. of- confreres, upon •whose rfaces. .is the . indelible /tamp of Emerald Isle birth, to say nothing of several quite pretty girls. The Grand Orchestra, under' the conductorship of - Miss Sheirsby, plays an excellent incidental programme. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.. Two excellent pictures take up the greater part of the programme at Everybody's Theatre this week—"Bright Lights of Broadway" arid "The."Woman on the Jury." The former deals' with New York's far-famed theatrical centre, and contains brilliant presentations of scenes, of-gaiety that are noteworthy for the pleasing. artistic .effects obtained. Sylvja.. Breamer, and Frank Mayo are featured in "The "Woman on the Jury." The Topical ■ Budget is noteworthy for its picture' of .the Enplieh Derby. The papular orchestra, under Mr W.- J. Bellingham, F.S.M./ supports the pictures excellently. .
