Special interest is being <•*«» W playgoers in the three productions ol Mr Pim Paeaee By," which is to be staged teenierrow evaniig, and on the eubsecfuent nights bv Miss Irene Tanbrugh, Mr Dion Boucicault, and their London company. Mr Pim Passes By' 7 was specia.ny wntten for Miaa Vanbrugh and Mr BoucicauH by A A. Milne, and it was their brilliant _ characteriwtioM of the characters of Olivia Marden and Mr Pim which won for the plaj the triumphs it achieved in London, where it attracted record audiences for upwards of two yeare. MV Pim is a dear old absentminded gentleman, who calls on Mt Marden, J.P., a comfortable country gentleman with a letter of introduction from a mutual friend. Mrs Olivia MaTden, formerly a, Mrs Tellworthy, widow of a man who went to Australia and to the bad, is very happy and- contented in her Becond choice, but into this arena of bliss Mr Pim throws a bomb by inadvertently telling a story of a man ijoumedl Jacob Tellworthy, who had travelled home with him quite recently from Australia. There can ue no doubt about the identity of the man lie described, end the lady and hex agitate*! spouse can only oonclude that the newspaper reports of the death of Tellworthy must have been false. The dialogue ia brilliant and the comedy situations (genuinely humorous. Mr Boucicault ia eaid to be at his best as Mr Pim, and in the comedy role of Mrs Maroten, Miss Vanbrtigh achieved one of her greatest Lon< don Buoceeses- Miss J e net EccJes, a yvatig and clever London actress, .will make - her first appearance here as Dinah.
