NORTH CANTERBURY V. ASHBURTON COUNTY. A representative hockey match. between the Xorth Canterbury senior and the Aehburton County ladies' hookey teams was played at Ashburlon Domain grounds on Saturday afternoon. As a. curtain-raiser, the Ash-burton High. School and the Technial Shool A team > played the final game m connexion with the Gala Cup competition. The High School team, with superior combination, had all the "best of the game and interest was evinced in the match between tho Canterbury =r,d Asl^ Count-- teams. Canterbury put their best available players in the fiold and Asbburton also did their utmost to get together a team which would -uphold the lioiiour hockey in tho Ashburton district.
