MINING DISPUTES.
TROUBLE IN N.S.W. (bt cabuj-pbess Assomnos-corrai'iffr) (ATTSTRAUAH AND ».». CABLE ASSOCIATION) SYDNEY, August 8. The 4berjnain Colliery is idle owing to trouble over darg (the product of an average miner's work). A meeting' of miners decided to .-fix a daily darg instead of a fortnightly one as at present for top-seam coal. The new darg is 22 skips for machinewon coal, and IS for pick-won. For the lower seam the restrictive numbers are 24 and 22. A miner filling more than hia allotted number of skips is to be fined £l, and the value of the pay for tho extra skips taken from him. It is proclaimed that the object of the new scheme is to equalise tho distribution of skips, more especially when there is a shortage of trucks. Newcastle coal trimmers decided at a stormy meeting to resume work this morning. | The Conciliation Commissioner convened a, compulso.'j conference between representatives of the Mine Deputies' Association and. tho employers -respecting their disputes.
