PRESBYTERIAN SABBATH SCHOOLS.
.PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. Thero was a largo attendance of Sabbath School scholars and their parents in St. Paul's Church last ni?ht, on tho occasion of tho annual prize demonstration of tho Christchurch Presbyterian Sabbath School Union. Mr J. Tennant, the president of ths Union, waa in tho chair, and tho schools represented were:—St. Albacs, Spreydon, St. Paul's, St. Andrew's, Bligh's read, New Brighton, St. George's, St. David's, Knox, and fit. Peter's. ■ After prayer and praise, tho chairman, in some br»of remarks, expressed hi 3 thanks to tho teachers and tho -Sabbath schools for tho high honour they had conferred on him in electing him president for tlio year. Ho was pleased, be said, to etc such a splendid representation of the _ different Sabbath schools, and ho felt proud that scholars at two of tho schools tuat ha had been connected with wero amongst tho special prize-winners. He then presented the special prizes as follows:
