The petition for Vaquier's WP™™ bears 30,000 signatures, including 30, members of the House of Commons. Mr Edward Shortt, writing in the "Daily Express*," states that experience for four years of the Home Secretaryship convinced him that the final decision should not rest with one man. It would be a matter for consideration whether the death penalty should be carried out unless the Commission's decision was unanimous.
