BASEBALL.
The Canterbury Baseball Association will hold a game on the Hagley Park Cricket Ground to-day, at 2.30 p.m.. with a view to selecting the team to play Wellington at Wellington during August. Following ore the teams:— Christchurch (A): Balfour, L. Gosney. S. D. Evans, S. Johns (captain), G. H. Garbutt, A. Shipley, J. Temple, W. Wilkinson, S. Hobden. Christchurch (B): ■G. Brett, h. R. Brunton (captain), G. Gregory, B. W. Shipley, J. O'Cain. L. Athfield, W. E. Payne, L. A. Haines, A. L. King; coach, S. D. Evans; umpire and selector, W. J. Heslehurst. The following teams will also play a practice game: —Christchurch (CV--E Aris, Lawrence, J. Barron, Gibson, Jobbens, Lye, C. W. Wilder; Christchurch (D) Rrit* Holland, Forsyth, W. Hayles, M. Milling, Overton, C. Rix.
