GOODS TRAIN DERAILED.
ACCIDENT ON NORTH ISLAND
TRUNK LINE.

TAIHAPE, July 10.
A goods train which left Ohakune last night about 11 o'clock was derailed just of Gardners Mill siding, four loaded trucks and two empties leaving the rails, and' one of the trucks toppling oyer a bank into tha Hatapu River, which is close to the railway at this point.
Belief gangs set to work immediately to clear the wreckage, but the line was not cleared till after 8 o'clock this morning. The pnssenger train which leaves for the north in the morning was delayed for over three hours, and the express from Auckland was delayed just over three hours. The cause of the derailment of too tracks is unknown. The line is now clear, and ordinary traffic has been,resumed. This is the second time ifa •.& short period that trucks on goods triijia have left the rails on the main sne, the first occurring between KatkarAnfri and Huntervillo some weeks ago. jjTfie express was held here for 35 minutes, so the passengers were enabled to Save breakfast. t/\ I
