CAMBRIDGE TERRACE.

At the quarterly meeting of the Cambridge x'errace Methodist- Circuit, the Rev. J. Harris presided. Pleasure was expressed at the presence of Mr E. W. Hall, who has recovered from a serious illness. The income more than met the expenditure. The Sunday schools and Bible classes were reported to be in a satisfactory condition, but steps are to be taken to encourage large atendances of Sunday school schciars at Divine service on Sunday mornings. Ii was decided to send a letter to the Rev. J. Dawson, of Wellington, a former pust-ir of the Circuit, sympathising with him in his illnes?. The question of inviting a minister to superintend the circuit during 19-5 came before tho meeting, because the Rev. JHarris had recently received an invitation from another circuit. A unanimous invitation to continue hi 3 good wcrk for the fif;h ye.ir was extended to Mr Harris and accepted by him. The Durham street South lad is were heart.ly thanked for provid.ng supper. A surprise" birthday social, organised by the Ladies' Guild and congregation cf the Cambridge terrace cliur.-h, was recently tendered to the Rev. J. Harris Mr H. Holland presided over a large gathering. An excellent programme was dispensed, ait?r which Mr E. W. Hali, cn behalf of tie gathering, presented the ltev Jwith an autograph book md a theological work, congratulating him and expressing a hope that he would be spared for many years' useful service to the Cambridge terrace circuit and the Mtthodist Churcn. ina chairman and others adac:! their tributes to the sterling work, especia-lly among the young poople, performed by Mr Harris aiso the splendid service given to the church by Mrs, Miss Gladys, and Mr Jac-k Harris.
