CRECHE AND KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION.

At the last general meeting of the Christchurch Creche and Kindergarten Association there was a good attend-, ance of members. The reports for the ! five schools were as follows :—Attend- ' ances-: Sunbeam 37, Phillipstown 53, Sydenham 47, Selwyn 37, Richmond "<*l. Subscriptions: Sunbeam £1 13s, Phillipstown £2 14s sd, Sydenham £1 i>s lid, Selwyn £1 3s, Richmond £2 Oslvcl. Miss Huii reported that the children were coming in to the different schools in very satisfactory numbers. Richmond now had a roll number of 50. i The secretary was instructed to write to the parents of Phillipstown thanking them for a donation of £'22 5s Gd, this amount being the outcome of several euchre parties held last year. Mrs Williams handed in an amount of £4O, which was made up as follows: —School donations for December and February, £5 5s 8d ; parents. £22 5s 6d : Mrs Griffiths. £5; Miss Gordon, £1 12s Od; Mrs Williams, £5 6s 4d. A letter was received from the secretary of the Presbvterian Free Kindergarten asking if their student. Miss Mitchell, mitrht attend Miss Hull's lectures on Kindergarten work. This request was gladly acceded to. The Association has decided to make a social function of their annual meeting, which is to take place on April 30th. Mrs Hadfield (hon. treasurer) reported that the financial position was very satisfactory. Mrs RolM?rts's offer to speak at the Mothers' Guild was accepted with thanks.
