A'-ccptanccs for the- AYaimate Pacing Club's Annual Meeting arc due on Tuesday.

Aceptanees for the Oamavu Jockey t bib's Autumn Meeting are due on Tuesday.

Tn connexion with the Banks Peninsula, Pacing Club's Annual Meeting tomorrow, special trains will leave Chri.stehurch for Motukarara at 9.0-3 a.m. and 10.:j') u.ni. 'flic special train conveying horses to the meeting starts at S.l'i) a.m. After the ram of yesterday excellent going should be provided, and the good fields carded promise a very interesting day's racing. Proceedings; will commence ■uith the Trial Plato at noon. In this race. PurpP- Iris may have an opportunity of making amends tor her failures at the Uunedin Cup Meeting. Car pentier and Thonidale both raced well at the recent Meeting at Jliecarton, and their experience there will be something to their advantage in the field they have to meet to-morrow.

It will be no caty task for the ftartcr to gel his iicld away in tho Waiwera. Trot, do fewer than eighteen of Lho twenty-five acceptors being on tlio front mark. The draw for positions will have a lot to do with the decision of tiie race, and, -with n. good despatch, Liberate, Dilemma, "Wyoming, and Trenand may bo tho hardest •f the limit horses that those on yards behind will have to overhaul. Enare's Wellington form will not bo forgotten if the Sunny Lake gelding is given a run in the Terawera Jumpers' Flat Handicap. Rigtl and Likelihood, -who finished first and second in the Hornby Handicap at Riccarton last month, aro among those opposed to Enare to-morrow, and of the pair Rigel is tho more likely to show improvement on his previous form. The handsome gold cup presented by Mr J. F. Buchanan, and attached o tho prize for the Peninsula Cup, has brought together a handy field for the principal race. Pilliewinkio and Limelight represent the best form, and aro at tho head of the handiean with 9st 81b and Bsfc 101b respectively. It is a good load'for Pilliewinkie, and though he has earned it he may be at a disadvantage through not having had a run in public since the Auckland Cup Meeting. Boadicea and Limelight may bo found in better favour than the top-weight when the machine closes, while the remainder of the field which lnay consist of Ardour, Dame fetraitlace, and Kukume—and the possible inclusion of Rigel—will not bo without admirers.

Riccarton form may be verified in the running of the Ahuriri Hack Handicap, and it would occasion no surprise to see Ciareina, 'Miss Minerva, Gay life, and Integrity playing a prominent part in its decision. Goldspmner has shown speed at different times, as has Zaragoza. Respondent, nn English filly by Bridge of Earn, may be given a run in this event, and the outing will be instructive in view of engagements further ahead.

Gossard, with 7st 131b, has been well treated in the Kinloch Welter, and with Boadicea more likely to start in the Cup, Sprinkler and Viewpoint will dispute favouritism with the Martian gelding.

• A " otll 1 ? 7 r S° od field will be seen out in the \Vaihora Park Trot. First Fashion on 108 yds behind should have every chance to settle down, the nearest to him being Lord Bingen and Prince Burlington on the 48yds markIt is a fair field, with one or two improving horses on the front mark such as Our Lady and Trenand. '

A really good field has been paid up for m the final event, the Forsyth Flying Handicap. The rain which has fallen has hardly been sufficient to make the going to Many Kittle's liking, but he can be depended upon to run well. Mustard Pot needs a race though both he and Sunny Loch have been working well. Red Wink and Fmora will be certain of solid support after their qood form in the Craven Plate at Pdccarton, and Kenmore who

■also started in thai race, will be all the better for his work in the interim.

The trainer's and jockey's license of N. K. McDonnell has been suspended, and the apprentice jockey's license of C. T. Edwards cancelled, by tho Taianaki District Committee.

Tiie two yearlings purchased at the "Waugaiiui sales for the Auckland owner, Mr Irupey. have been placed in J. Buchanan's hands at Eilerslie. Bnchanan has also just received three Polydamon liorses from Gisbonie, including Polonett, a recent winner on the East Coast, '

The day's racing opened with the Novices' Handicap, From an even start Kilmar and Bonlita were the first to become prominent, but at the end of two furlongs Kilmar lost her position, and Lady Halina moved ■up into second place. Bonlita led into the straight and won easily from Lady Halina and the fast-finishing Deborah. The winner is a three-year-old colt by tßoniforin. from Rosalita, and is owned by the North Ishnd sportsman Mr W. R. Kemball. He paid a double figure dividend. All started in the Staiborough Trot Handicap. Speculation was : limited, and Watsonia was favourite, Garbardine and Bombard also coming in for solid support. Wotsoma began smartly, and trotting a sound race, had the result in safe keeping a long way from home, and she finally defeated Countess Eve by a length and a hulf. Watsonia, made no mistakes, and trotted in her best style. Bombard lost ground in the early stages through breaking, but finished strongly m third place, just clear of Ashley Belle. Dulcio Bingen showed speed in patches, but failed to trot evenly. Garbardine did not begin well, and was soon in the ruck.

Only five horses faced the barrier in ths Blenheim Welter Hack Handicap, and it was a fairly even betting race. Deborah, who was making her second appearance, took up tho running from Bonecto, Halloweve, Parorangi, and Spelsbury. At the end of three furlongs Halloweve took charge, closely followed by Bonecto and Parorangi. The last-nameii led into the straight, but failed to withstand a strong challenge from Bonecto, who scored by half a length. Halloweve was third and Redsorne fourth Happy Days, Pantler, and Cheer Up were withdrawn from the Marlborough Handicap horses Zero Hour and Stream, monopolised the betting, and carried over 200 sovfmore than Bayana, who was next in demand. The start was a good one, and when the field settled down the order was Bayana, Mataieka, Stream, Auckland, Zero Hour Gin. t? nttle change in the order, but going into th, back straight Bayana 'was cS followed by Auckland, Matareka, Stream! and Zero Hour. Bayana was the first "ft uck]a ?i entered the home stretch well c ear of Zero Hour, who at this stage-was making up a lot of leeway. The °n Auckland kept his mount going and brought about tho downfall of the tonwei B ht, Zero Hour, and scored a popular win. Auckland is by no means a Cnd horse, but he found the going to his E? but both horses were some dktmce behind the leaders. The form displaved by the Nelson Cup winner Bayana, was disappoint ine, as she was beaten a long way f^m Sunbath"? 7 d Matß, ; e > Werl Sunbath, a five-vcar-o!d mare bv Sunnv Lake from AraarJla, scored a k, c ky w?n ?n he Dwh Hack, as a hundred raids from home The Bolter appeared to have tho race won, when his pilot, instead of riding with vigour, kept looking around, and Sunbath defeated km bv a neck. W £%£ and Sweet Kathleen were oulclaaaed " S I ho Summer Handicap attracted a field of ten horses Speculation was brisk Hy turns was favourite, while only a few \xmnrf. separated Laughingstock, Happy leyconi, and Island. With the exception of Island, who was interfered with at the start, the others moved away in line and Bar.eycorn and Hytirrus led a bunched' field until the turn for Home, when Entre Nous put in her claim and won comfortably from Laughingstock, Bacsshecsb, and Island- The winner is a smart filly, and should improve with age. Island made up most of the lost ground and was fourth lo finish. The scratching pen was freely used in the Brookby Hack Handicap* as the withdrawal of All Gold, Blackhead, Sir Pam, Liskanar, Radiac, Sunbath, and Glencree reduced the field to five starters. The race was robbed of considerable interest, as tho favourite, Bonecto, was caught in the tapes and took no part in the race. This left only Lotty. Miss and Ea&vs&eL and
