Ambassador Herbert Booth will commence a tea days' apostolio devotional campaign in the Durnam street Metho- ' dist Church to-night at eight when liis subject will be' '"i'he God of the Bible and the <3od of Modern Unbelief." Ambassador Booth, is the youngest eon of the late General "W'll- : liam Booth, of London, and ie a foremost member of the family Trhich found-' ed and developed- the Salvation Army. During the 23 years of its greatest spiritual triumphs ho laboured for that organisation, holding its highest com-?* mands in England, North America, and Australasia. Some years ago Mr Booth resigned his prospects in the Solvation Army, which were second only'to those of his brother, the present. General, and has since devoted himself to evangelistic work. The greatest success has attend-' ed his efforts in gome 1100 Churches of all denominations in Great Britain, Canada, the United States, and (South Africa. Since his last visit 'to Christchurclj three years ago, the Ambassador has visited every important centre ia. Australasia.
