A gelz, organised by th» Waimairi School Committoe and a band of willing helpers, will be hal<l in the school grounds, Blighs road, nezt Saturday. Tho gala is being held fot the purpose of raising funds for improving the school grounds, and will bo opened by Mr G. Witty, M.P., tt 2 p.m. A large number of ctaJls have been arranged for. There will he guessing and cooking compet:tions ( aid® «hows, and sports for all. ft is anticipated that the gala will bo most successful.
