CASUALTIES.
A. M. Moore, aged 36, who lives at Akaroa, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday afternoon suffering from injuries to a toe on the right foot caused by an axe, which he was using, slipping and cutting him. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAIiS.) OTAKI, February 27. James O'Connor, a carrier, had his neck broken • last night through motor lorry which he was driving capsizing over Paekakan'ki Hill. Charles Ellery escaped practically uninjured. HAWERA, February 27. While trimming a hedge, William Pedlar Giles, 70, an old resident of the Taranaki district, collapsed and died of heart failure.
