THE COOK POISONING CASES.

*© m KZ7ZTOS OP "lEB nus," Sir,—The sad circumstances of the poisoning of Mr and Mrs Michael Cook and their six children at North Beach are such that many of your readers would be glad to contribute to the fund the Mayor of New Brighton has opened for their relief. It is now known that the family will come out of hospital practically penniless and without resources. It is easy to see that they will be faced with a desperate struggle. My wife and I join in the enclosed contribution to the fund, for which I trust you will be able to open a subscription list in the columns o£ "The Press."—Yours, etc., S.B.E. [We shall be glad to receive subscriptions, which will be harded over to Mr J. Gamble, the Mayor of New Brighton.—Ed., "Press."]
