RECITAL IN DURHAM STREET CHURCH.

"DAUGHTER OF JAIRUS." To-night in the Durham street Methodist Churoh, Sir John Stainer's beautiful cantata "Daughter of Jairus," will be sung by the choir, with Miss M. Twose (soprano), Mr H. Biakeley (tenor), and Mr "W. J. Spratt (baas) as soloists. Following the contata, a musical and elocutionary recital will be giveu by Mrs Ernest Firth (contralto), Mr W. J. Hudson (tenor), Mr Geo. Stephens (elocutionist), and Mr Ernest Firth, F.R.C.Q. (organist). Mrs Ernest Firth and Mr Hudson will present a acena from the oratorio "Samson," in which the solos "Return, Oh Lord of Hosts" (contralto) and "Total Eclipse" (tenor) will be, sung. Mt Geo. Stephens, a talented elocutionist from Manchester, will recite "The Life of Mary, Queen of Scotß," and Mr Ernest Firth, F.R.C.0., will play a "Pastorale" by Guilmant. Mrs Firth and Mr W. J. Spratt will also sing the duet, "The Day is Done."
