Tho Spots-wood School children held * successful concert, recently, alter which the i prizes were given out. recitations, ! and a dialogue were given by the children, , while others items were:—Duets, kinson ar.d Miss I. "V\ ilkinson, Miss a Sloes and MissJanie Smith, Miss Ins *»nkinson and Miss Cora Wilkinson, Miss M. * Lauchlan and Mra Stevenson; songs, Mwa Sloss and Miss I. Wilkinson; S»coul» dances, Mrs Williamson. Beiore the pii-e----giving Mr Stevenson, chairman ot the School Committee, made a short speech, in he compluncnt-ed Miss M. McLauchlar., school mistress, on the. success o» the year s work and the inspector's report Mrs Butuo handed out the prizes. hieh child 10coived a book for progress, and several special prizes were also given. While supper was being prepared Miss I. Wilkinson and Mr Fitzgibbon provided music for dancin,,. Supper over, a pleasant event was brought a Close by the singing of ,'Auld Lang fayne.
