Messrs Yarrow and Co., Ltd. (Glasgow) have decided to close down their shipbuilding yard' on the Clyde on November 30th, owing to the shipjoiners' and other strikes, the reduction in output and demarcation disputes making costs excessive. They declare they will re-open their works only when conditions enable business to be conducted with some chance of success. DOCKYARD WORKERS' WISDOM. (Received August 14th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 12. The dockyard workers have agreed to work tw 0 extra hours a week, in order to avoid an automatic cost of living reduction in wages of 3s a week. OPPOSITION TO BOLSHEVISM. (Received August 14th, 5.5 p.m.) ' LONDON, August 12. The workers in the South Wales mining districts are offering a determined opposition t 0 Bolshevism within their ranks. One Rhondda Valley club with 600 members, mostly miners, has posted a notice declaring that any member upholding Bolshevism in any way will be liable to expulsion.
