0 The following resolution was passed at the meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Trades and Labour Council on Saturday night:—"That this Council protests against the action of the judge of the Arbitration Court in not dating the cost-of-living bonus back to the end of Ulie period covered by the Government Statistician's figures -r-viz., October Ist." (PBESS ASSOCIATION TKLEGBAM.) AUCKLAND, November 8. A telegram received by the Arbitration Court Registrar from the Registrar at Wellington, reads: —Applications for the new bonus should bo received, but will not be heard by the Court until its next sittings at Auckland. In the meantime parties to awards should bo served with a copy of tlho application in the ordinary way, or notified of tho same by advertisement, in accordance with the rules.
