He was accorded a civic reception, and was waited upon by deputations which asked for two new primary school sites in place of tho present one, and for additional classroom accommodation, and a liostel for Marlborough College*. The Minister was also requested to bring before Cabinet the desirableness for the early completion of the South Island Main Trunk Railway and the road to link up Blenheim with AVcstport.
